About Tom

I’m currently living in Kentucky where I’m spending a lot of time studying. For a year and a half from 2008 through 2009 I volunteered as Outreach Director for a publishing ministry in Michigan. In 2006 I received a BA from The University of Findlay (Ohio) with a double major in Criminal Justice Administration, and Law and the Liberal Arts. At the university I was the senior class president and a newspaper columnist. Throughout the past decade I have worked in legislative affairs, and volunteered on political campaigns; I have worked in law enforcement both as a police dispatcher and as an auxiliary officer; and before that I was a security supervisor.

Music
I have been playing the piano since I was 4 years old. It wasn’t really that hard to learn since my mother is a piano teacher. At my university I was active for over 2 years with a band as a keyboardist and co-leader, and in 2008 I coordinated the organization of a 10-member praise and worship band at a national event.

Flying
I am a certificated private pilot. I received my certificate in April 1999, and it was one of the most exciting days of my life. I have flown the Piper Archer, Cessna 172 Skyhawk, Cessna 152 and 150, and Piper Tomahawk. From the time I was little, I always wanted to fly. When I was around 5 or 6 years old, I bought myself a plane ride at a fair for $5.00. Want to know more about flying? Visit www.BeAPilot.com.

Radio
I am a licensed amateur radio operator. Want to know more about ham radio? Check out the Wikipedia article on Ham Radio.
